In Time 02:36
We've all got a place to run A place to hide To keep it all locked up Inside of your mind A place Where everything just stays the same There's no need to change Or trying for stardom or fame Somewhere people are equal There's no need to wait around For the sequel in life To see what turns out to be right And when the day Breaks into the night You would have never ever seen such a beautiful sight Your asking me why we live in a world that needs to be told Why can't we just sit back Watch it unfold I'll tell you why The great god in the sky Likes to keep us wondering why he never drops by We've got to use our eyes in our minds to disguise This horrible life That some may fight just for rights Like fighting karma Against all the drama We all need a break from that Make no mistake of that!

B+ 03:38
I wish that I could change your mind Take away the pain inside If only I had the words To free you from this curse There's gotta be way For you to live happy day by day And I can see your hurt But you've got love And it works So keep strong You gotta move on Be positive Listen to your favourite song You've got family Missing you and keeping calm Remember who you are And nothing ever will go wrong X2 I can't begin to imagine How hard it is trying to fight this But I can sympathise When I see the tears you cried But you still wipe your eyes And hold your head up high And just carry on It doesn't need to end up like this just remember these words sealed with a kiss So keep strong You gotta move on Be positive Listen to your favorite song You've got family Missing you and keeping calm Remember who you are And nothing ever will go wrong

Silhouette 03:55
When you've got to where you want to be Look around and realise your already there Mmm Don't feel so restricted Look past this illusion and just carry on A brief intermission Has clouded my perception of you And as the silhouette fades I'm counting down the days Until I see you When will I see you See you A change of perspective Could open this door To a new home This place where is reside Is nothing but a lie so I Move on And as the silhouette fades I'm counting down the days Until I see you When will I see you See you

My Star 02:32
I walk along the shore The sands beneath my feet The sky is blue The sun is bright oh yeah And what a day it's been I've never felt so keen To move forward with my life Cos your my star I've never seen so much beauty from a far Cos your my star You light me up No matter where you are You are I'm on my way back home And no I'm not alone Time passes by towards the night Oh yeah I walk the city streets With a feeling oh so sweet As I ascend into flight Cos your my star I've never seen so much beauty from a far Cos your my star You light me up No matter where you are You are No matter where I am you take me by the hand You'll find me yeah You found me

Same Old Way 02:50
I come home Listen to what's on the stereo The same old song I don't wanna be the one to play along Time takes its toll You and I both know Step back stop instigating I'm so sick and tired of waiting Hear how this song starts Resonating in your head Mmm Suddenly the sound of your voice starts to bloom Brings me perfect clarity without choice And I wonder if you still feel the same (And if you do!) We'll move them same old way This is my gift to you Cos what I feel is true Turn down the volume I'm just trying to get through to you through to you Suddenly the sound of your voice starts to bloom Brings me perfect clarity without choice And I wonder if you still feel the same (And if you do!) We'll move them same old way

about

Best Enemies was started by Paul Finch and Dan Mason when they both left a heavier electronic band in 2011. Originally the idea was to create an acoustic duo, but our influences have changed so much in the last 3 years. Trip-Hop became the main focus to the backbone of our music, and it remains so today.

Life has a habit of getting in the way of making music and we never really called it quits, but took some time off during the latter part of 2011 and early 2012. We then decided to change the outlook of Best Enemies. Instead of being a 2 man duo, why not just make music with our friends? No line-up, no instrument restrictions and more fun! It has made it easier for records like this to be made, as it feels like a sort of mini "open source" music community. Hopefully in the near future we can all pull together and write an LP with even more musicians!

Here's to the future, from everyone involved in Best Enemies.
